Participation guide

How to join.

Register once, choose your broker, get verified, then upload MT5 reports. Everyone competes on one overall leaderboard.

Register an account

Fill in your name, a public display name, email and password. Your display name is what appears on the leaderboard.

Choose Deriv or Tickmill

Select the broker where your live MT5 account is held. Your broker is shown on the leaderboard for identification only.

Submit live MT5 account information

Enter your MT5 account (login) number, server, account currency and current balance. We never ask for any password.

Wait for account verification

The ChartMaster team checks your details and records your verified starting capital. You may be asked for extra proof, such as a screenshot showing your login number and name.

Upload MT5 CSV reports

Export your MT5 deal history as CSV (guide below) and upload it from your dashboard. Each report is reviewed before it counts.

Compete on the overall leaderboard

Approved reports update your official result and rank. Keep uploading on the published schedule and submit a final report after the competition ends.

MT5 CSV export guide.

What we need

The Deals table from your MT5 trading history, saved as a CSV file, with this header row:

Time,Deal,Symbol,Type,Direction,Volume,Price,Order,Commission,Fee,Swap,Profit,Balance,Comment

Required columns: Time, Deal, Type, Profit. Commission, Swap, Fee and Balance are strongly recommended so we can reconcile your balances. An optional first line Account:,YOUR_MT5_NUMBER lets us match the file to your account automatically.

Download sample CSV

Step by step (MT5 desktop terminal)

Menu names can differ slightly between MT5 versions and brokers.

  1. Open MT5 and log in to the live account you registered.
  2. Open the Toolbox (View → Toolbox, or Ctrl+T) and go to the History tab.
  3. Right-click inside the History list and choose Deals so individual deals are shown.
  4. Right-click again, choose the period (e.g. Custom period) and set it to your reporting period.
  5. Right-click → Report → choose the Excel (Open XML) format and save the file.
  6. Open the report in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice. Keep the Account line and the Deals table (header row and all deal rows).
  7. Save or download it as CSV (comma-separated) — UTF-8 if offered.
  8. In your dashboard go to Upload MT5 CSV, enter the period dates and starting balance, attach the file and submit.
Do not edit, reorder or delete deal rows. Every row is checked against the running balance; edited files are flagged and may lead to disqualification.

Troubleshooting

  • "Could not find the Deals table header" — make sure the header row contains Time, Deal, Type and Profit, spelled as shown above.
  • "Account number does not match" — the Account line in your file must be the MT5 number you registered.
  • "Only .csv files are accepted" — save as CSV, not XLSX or HTML.
  • "This exact file was already submitted" — export a new report for the next period instead.
  • Overlapping period — start each report the day after your last approved report ended.
  • Still stuck? Contact support with your report number.

Eligibility

  • A live (real-money) MT5 account in your own name with Deriv or Tickmill.
